The UK’s centre for excellence for FOP is based at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, led by Professor Richard Keen.
The experienced and knowledgeable FOP team at the RNOH is led by Professor Richard Keen, who works alongside Dr Judith Bubbear and Martyn Dudley, Clinical Nurse Specialist. Dr Alex Chesover has recently been appointed to the team, sharing his time between RNOH and GOSH.
The RNOH is also the UK’s main trial site FOP clinical trials.

The RNOH can also support families and patients living with FOP, through referrals to other departments and services including:
* A social worker to assist with DLA and other advice
* Wheelchair services
* Occupational therapy
* Hearing
* Liaise with and advise local healthcare providers, including GPs
* Referral to other services
